Aren't flamingos so weird-looking?? Look at how many joints there are at the neck!! And the legs are so skinny!! Like got design flaw leh... I think if God really created us then flamingos are a bad design coz it looks too GIMMICKY.

Like I am imagine this mad scientistish guy saying, "And then I am giving it thin and long legs so it can stand in water... Very long neck so it can look for food underwater..."

Someone logical replies, "Why not just make it be an underwater creature in the first place?"

And the mad scientist ignores him and says, "Yes... Wings too of course, but purely aesthetics... cannot fly. AND YES. PINK."

finally i can post... now wat was i wanting to post? cant quite remember.. but life been quite simple but good daily. hoping to go prawning some day again.. do some baking. buy a new laptop..lol. when i get enough $$.. haiz.. wat are u guys up too.. those having exams and thesises.. jia you! it will be over soon and u will be working soon! like me..lol happy april's fool tmw!

i just went to geylang east lib .. quite a distance from my work place.. but i borrowed quite a few books.. one of them being Just Desserts, The Unauthorized Biography of Martha Steward

and Pour Your Heart Into It
- how Starbucjs built a Company One Cup at a Time and 2 a4 size marvel comic books. damn one person could only borrow 4 books at a time. but that place is nice and clean and quiet and their books are so new.. not many pple. good place to go!

last year, i spent a major some on my budget ( i think i have one somewhere) on .. books. not the most exciting or easy.. but feel ever tempted to buy a book when i see awsome book reviews.. but now.. other than buying bestsellers at booksales or popular when they are REAL CHEAP.. i have rediscoverd the wonderfulness of our regional libs.. i hope everyone is as grateful as i am for them.. for not every country actually spents millions of dollars on hardcover reads for its pple..less to say ..make sure there is a regional book heaven at every heartland. and when i see a nice book.. i do try my best to go www.nlb.gov.sg to check if it was available in any lib around me.. more often than not.. they is always a copy lying around.. and then to find related books .. i would hop on amazon to see wat others read. and nlb will surely not be too far behind..one never appreciates wats u have a in bundant.. from cookery to craft, from art to animals, marketing to manageing, there is surely something there for u! for a daughter of a librarian.. there aint realy a lot of books aorund the house.. one thing my mom is sick of them..lol and for some strange reason some time ago.. i started buy books to make me feel better from spending money on clothes.. u dun wash books u noe and ur mom wun scold u for them.. u can always say u got them from a friend! lol..

woke up this morning at 6am.. wondering wat i am going to do...

this is to all friends there who have not grad.. looking for a job.. just sharing my exp.. at least u dun have to go thru the long route.. the first job is impt.
when u just grad.. u are practically worthless.. also known as no exp on hand.. which is unwanted by many companies cos they dun want to do handholding of a kid for 1/2 a year.. then again.. if u got excellent grads that kind.. pls dun read on.. cos this prob only applies to me..

truely.. they look at where u come from. they ask u why u want to work here.. they ask u to describe ur character. just so in case u are v honest and admit that u r lazy, untidy,rude, slacker and always late.

is it the money u should think of? the experience, the work place? the name of the company? the career path? the boss? the distance from ur home? or simply ur passion in that industry? if only its easy. some pple think make the choice. so pple let the company make the choice.. some pple got no choices, some pple are spoilt for choices.. and wth.. things happen.. u just have to find something that justifiy u traveling to and fro daily which sucks ur lifeaway for the next 30-40 years..

and hope it doest come back and haunt u..

as i speak now.. my head pounds in rhyhm to the drilling that is taking place downstairs. woke up feeling fine. by the time i was getting ready to leave the house. a particular blood vessel in the head started throbing. sending jots of pain down my brain. throb throb throb throb... and suddenly i was reminded that the drilling at the office was still continuing.. i am grateful i din step out of the house.

its funny and its weird. most jobs i applied for marketing positions like marketing exe, marcom require their applicants to have knowledge of graphic design tools like photoshop, illustrator and even free hand.. which brings me to wat my collegue told me.. many design students after getting dip or degree in design, will take a degree/dip in marketing... that was my answer to whether its v funny for a mkting grad to take a dip in design.

this makes me wonder..

1) the eduction in uni.. probably basic spss..no photoshop classes.. but i dun know many who knows illustrator really.. less to say freehand.. hmm lol.. i expect this is expected of most individual to know themselves.. cos u aint going to ocme out to be a marketing manager all of the sudden..

2) MNCs still require applicants to have grahic design skills.. dun they outsource designing to advertising houses??

perhaps its just the minority bah. i dun mind learning 2d and 3d sketching and adobe illustrator if got chance.. i just need the $$!! and money.. lol..

bored.. sian.. looking for a new job! yes i have said this a dozen times.. guess the eretia got the better of me. but desperately need to find something soon.

Recently got a bit hooked on viwawa playing big2, majiong and sushido... other than that.. guess i been bz trying to please pple in my life. the weekend have been so hectic.. i rather not speak abt it.. i need more $$$

life's been hectic.. no idea wat is right wat is wrong. things and pple come and go..move on.. expereience changes.. embrace the new. and once in a while. when we slow down to appreciate the stuff around us.. we realise how much have changed and how much we have been thru. 14.10.2006. the date seems so long ago.. but its just like yesterday when we went phuket and gorged ourselves hungryily on corn. . april 2002.. it just seemed like a while ago when we wore silly red and white ribbons for national day.. lol.. those were the days.. look forward to many more beautiful days ahead with all i love and cherish!
